New Roofs and Re-Roofing

New Roofs

When the tiles are porous, the battens are rotten or the felt underneath has perished, repairs stop being worth it. A new roof puts it right for decades in one go.

We strip the old roof back to the rafters, check and replace any damaged timbers, then fit a breathable membrane, new treated battens and your chosen tiles or slates, finished with a dry ridge and dry verge system that does not rely on mortar.

No. The roof is kept watertight every night while we work.

Can I change the type of tile?

Usually, though heavier tiles may need the roof structure checking first. We will advise on the visit.
